Rules

Every campaign has guidelines to protect both brands and creators. Understanding these rules up front helps you submit clips that get approved on the first try.

Content Rules

These apply across all campaigns unless a specific campaign states otherwise:

  • Original content only — the clip must be your own creation. Don't repost someone else's work or use unlicensed footage.
  • No profanity or hate speech — keep it clean. Clips with strong language, slurs, or offensive material will be rejected.
  • No misleading claims — don't make false promises about the product or service. Stick to what the campaign brief says.
  • Brand mention required — the brand or product must be clearly featured or mentioned in the clip. Tangential mentions won't count.
  • No paid or fake engagement — don't buy views, likes, or comments. Any artificial inflation will result in permanent disqualification.

Platform Restrictions

Each platform has its own set of rules that affect what you can submit:

  • YouTube — clips must be public or unlisted. Private or unlisted videos with access restrictions won't register views for tracking.
  • TikTok — the video must be public on your profile. Duet and Stitch clips are accepted only if the campaign explicitly allows them.
  • Instagram — Reels only. Stories and feed posts are not tracked. The clip must be public on your profile.
  • Twitch — clips must be from live streams or VODs. The clip must be publicly accessible and not subscriber-only.

Why Was My Clip Rejected?

Clips are reviewed by the Cretoxy admin team against the campaign's specific guidelines. Here are the most common reasons for rejection:

Low Quality

The clip is blurry, poorly edited, has bad audio, or doesn't meet the production standard expected by the campaign. Check the campaign's quality requirements before recording.

Off-Brand

The clip doesn't align with the campaign's messaging, tone, or product focus. Maybe the brand isn't clearly featured, or the content contradicts the campaign brief.

Duplicate or Reposted Content

The clip is a copy of something already submitted — either by you or someone else. This includes re-uploading the same video with minor edits or submitting the same link under a different campaign.

Suspected Fake or Bought Views

The view count shows patterns consistent with artificial inflation — sudden spikes, views from bot accounts, or engagement that doesn't match the audience demographics. This is grounds for permanent removal from the platform.

Resubmission Policy

If your clip gets rejected, you can usually resubmit — but there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Fix the issue first — read the rejection reason carefully. Don't resubmit the same clip without making changes.
  • Use a new link — if your original clip was the problem, upload a fresh version. The same URL will be blocked as a duplicate.
  • Check the campaign deadline — you can only resubmit while the campaign is still active. If it's ended, the window is closed.

Resubmissions are unlimited

There's no cap on how many times you can resubmit. As long as the campaign is active and you're submitting a genuinely improved clip, you can try again.
